Merge Webinar Series-Accessibility Matters: Neuro-Inclusive Cancer Care

During this webinar, participants will learn about the inequities experienced by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who have cancer and the systems improvements that can be made to improve care. The perspectives of people with disabilities who have been impacted by cancer as an individual or family member (of someone who has cancer), will also be discussed. Neurodiversity-affirming approaches to clinical care will be explored and shared.

·     Review literature and narratives about the experiences of people who have IDD and cancer.

·     Assess environmental and systems barriers contributing to health inequities in cancer care.

·     Identify practical steps to increase accessibility in planning and delivering cancer care.
